LS1 Map

We did maths and it was about turning. Turning means changing directions, we also did the map of LS1.

First we used directions like forwards backwards left and right, we also used fractions.

Next we did a map of the class, we had to make it to a letter to the other letter.

Lastly we did the coding and the co ordinates for the map of the class.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt how to use co ordinates. I did well on using the codes properly. I need to improve on using the co ordinates correctly.

Persuasive Text

We learnt about persuasive Texts for writing.

First we learnt what a Persuasive Text means.

Next miss Twomey gave us some examples to finish for our work the example was, should mufti be uniform at school.

After we made a DLO of the example that miss twomey told us.

Lastly we wrote 3 reasons of why mufti should be uniform at school or mufti should not be uniform at school.

I enjoyed this task because I like writing. I did well on giving the  3 reasons of why mufti should not be uniform at school. I need to improve on getting it done quickly.

 

Summarising

We learned about summarising for reading.

First we talked about what summarising means, summarising means to say it in fewer or less words.

Next we watched a video to summarise it and use the important keywords.

Lastly we made a copy of a google doc and made some examples of what summarising means in diffrent ways.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt about what summarising means. I did well on summarising the video. I need to improve on writing more important keywords down.

 

Te Reo Maori

We did Te Reo Maori this week about Dame Whina cooper.

First we were givin a task that was to write about what dame whina cooper did and its birth and died at on a google drawing and other information.

Next we looked up photos that were going to be on the google drawing.

Lastly we shared it to our kapa haka person, but it was a competition.

I enjoyed this task because I liked researching about dame whina cooper. I need to improve on getting work done faster. I did well on getting all the information.

 

Culture celebrations

We did culture celebrations and ethnicities.

First we talked about what cultures we were, my culture is Burma and Malasia.

Next we each got a coin and placed it on the map where our countrys are.

After we wrote our culture celebrations and storys that we learned from our cultures.

Lastly we wrote our cultures on a google slide.

I enjoyed this task because I learned about what ethnicities mean. I need to improve on making more culture story. I need to improve getting my work done.

Shapes

We learned about 2D shapes.

First we talked on the mat about what a 2D shape means. A 2D shape means two dimensional shapes like polygons and non polygons. non polygons mean the shape that has no angles and polygons mean the shapes that have angles.

Next we tryed to find the shapes that Mr Wong said I got them very fast.

Lastly we wrote about 2d shapes which were polygons and non polygon.

I enjoyed this task because I learned about what 2d means. I did well on taking the shapes fast. I need to improve on getting my work done.

Tumbles

We did tumbles this term with learning activites on them.

First we only had 20 minutes for each activite. I am in group three so I will have to do the activites for group three. The activites are the cloze activites, next we had to do fact find. After fact find we had to go to the teacher. After we go to the teacher we do our follow-up. Lastly after the follow-up we do SSR Selfie.

Lastly we do all the activites and finish them if we don’t finish them we only have time to do it tomorrow.

I enjoyed this task because I learned about what tumble means. I need to improve on doing the cloze acitivite. I did well on SSR selfie.

Explanation

We did writing about explanations.

First we talked about what a explainatin means.

Next we wrote the structure of a explanation. It was TEEL. The T stands for title, the E stands for Evidence, the E stands for explain and the L stands for Link.

After we made a slide deck showing what parts of a explanation means.

Lastly we wrote a paragraph of a explanation and named the diffrent parts into the correct spot.

I enjoyed this task because I have learnt the structure of explanation. I did well on putting the diffrent parts of a structure in the paragraph. I need to improve on doing it faster.

 

Reorganisation

We learnt what reorganisation means.

First we talked on the mat about what reorganisatn means.

Next we got a partner and sorted out the questions on the slide deck.

After we went of and did our individual tasks on the slide deck.

Lastly I finished all the answers that was on the slide deck.

I enjoyd this task because I have learnt what reorganisation means. I did well on getting the questions right that were on the slide deck. I need to improve on reading the text faster.
