Bar Graph

I did bar graphs on a google slide during maths.

First I made a google slide and wrote down two bar graphs.

Next I looked at the tally charts so I can make the bar graphs answers and categories.

Lastly I wrote down the questions what is your favourite coulour and how many people live in your family.

I did well on making the bar graphs. I need to improve on making two more bar graphs.

Making Graphs

I made a bar graph about diffenernt colours.

First I made a bar graph on my book.

Next I wrote down my categories one the bottom line.

Lastly I wrote down the numbers on the side line to see how many people voted for that colour.

I did well on writing down the graph. I need to improve on making more graphs.

 

Labelling Graphs

I learnt what a bar graph is during maths.

First my group and Miss White had a discussion about what a bar graph is.

Next I had to do a activitie sheet called labelling a bar graph.

Lastly I labelled both of my bar graphs.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt what a bar graph is. I did well on labelling the bar graph. I need to imrprove on putting more information on the slide.

Statistics

Me and my group members did statistics in math.

First Miss White gave us some papers to right some statistics on.

Next Me and Marcel made a DLO and sended it to the other group members.

After we wrote the same statistics that were in the paper.

Lastly we added some tallys to it to see how many people submitted the answer.

I enjoyed this task because I got to know the answers of my maths group statistics. I did well on writing down the statistics. I need to improve on making the DLO even interesting.

 

Basic Facts Boxes

I did Basic Facts Boxes with a timer.

First I made a copy of the slide and chose subtraction.

Next I did subtraction in order with timer.

Lastly I my timer stopped at 1 minutes and 9 secounds and I got 50/50.

I enjoyed this task because I got my basic facts right. I did well on completing my subtraction sheet fast. I need to improve on getting a lower time.

Split Strategy

I did a math task called split strategy.

First I had to do addition and solve the equation by splitting the numbers into different parts: for example: 56 is splitted into 50 and 6 whitch makes 56.

Next I had to do subtraction and also solve the equations for it too, but subtraction is different I have to subtract the number:(for example 56 – 45) you have to start with the big number then subtract the small number. (56 – 40 will equal 16 and 16 – 5 will equal 11.

Lastly I had to explain what a split strategy is. A split strategy is when you split the numbers into different parts and solve what the equation will be.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt more information about the split strategy. I did well on doing the equations. I need to improve on learning more on how to solve things.

 

Temperature

I learnt about temperature in maths.

First I learnt about how hot NZ’s temperature is. NZ can only go up to thirty degrees.

Next I had a challenge on a google document and answer some questions.

Lastly I created a google drawing and named the hottest and the coldest place and what its temperature is.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt about temperature. I did well on answering all the questions. I need to improve on making my google drawing even interesting.

Reading Time

I learnt how to read time.

First I learnt what a analogue clock is and what a digital clock is. A analogue clock is a clock that is sticked on the walls at our houses. The digital clock is a clock that uses technology like on phones, netbooks, Ipads and other technology things.

Next I learnt how to tell the time on a analogue clock. For example the long hand is pointing at the twelve and the short hand is pointing at the five, so it will be 5 o, clock because if the minute hand/long hand is on the twelve it will be o’ clock.

Lastly I created a google slide and wrote five times and wrote down what time they were.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt how to tell the time. I did well on writing down the time. I need to improve on writing more times down.

 

Perimetre

I learnt about what perimetre is.

First we talked about what perimetre means.

Next we had to figure out what perimetre is the school field.

Lastly we added the number and answerd it.

I enjoyed this task because I have learnt what perimetre is. I did well on figuring out the answer. I  need to improve on figuring out how long the field is.
