Swimming

I did swimming for PE and i learnt about what to do for ocean safety.

First we made a circle and went round and round to make a whirlpool. Then we let go of our hands and then floated in the whirlpool but it failed.

Next we practised out floatings. After we practised out floating, our two coaches were making waves and teaching us how to get through waves in the ocean if your stuck in one. I made it through the waves but sinked after I was at the end.

Lastly we did a race at the end to see who can get out of the waves faster.

I enjoyed this task because I like swimming. I did well on doing the different activitys. I need to improve on listening and my skills.

 

Ripper Rugby/PE

I did HPE with group B.

First we had a practise by passing the ball in our groups to eachother.

Next we played ripper rugby, it was red vs yellow. We had to get to the other side without getting our tags ripped of bye the other team.

Lastly we switched over and played again but with different people.

I enjoyed this task because I like doing PE. I did well on running past the other team. I need to improve on passing the ball properly.

HPE

Group B did HPE and it was fun.

First we started a with a game called freeze dancing. We had to grab a cone when the music stops so the person who doesn’t have a cone gets eliminated.

Next we played another game called grab the cone. We each have a partner and the couch has to shout out one of your body parts and you have to touch that body part on your body: for example (shoulders, knee toes,). if the couch says cone then you have to grab the cone whoever grans the cone they get a point.

Lastly we played the last game called throw the ball. We had to throw the ball, whoevers team throws it very far that team gets a point.

I enjoyed this task because I liked playing the different activities. I did well on playing freeze dancing game. I need to improve on throwing the ball more high.

Discus & Shotput

We learnt how to do discus and shotputs.

First I learnt how to throw a discus. I had to stand side on, point where I was aiming. I had to put my chin knee and toe in a row and I had to throw it without swinging it.

Lastly I learnt how to throw a shotput. I had stand side on and put the ball on my neck then throw it.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt how to use a discus. I did well on doing shotputs. I need to improve on throwing the discus.

 

Shotputs/HPE

We learnt how to do shot puts.

First Mr Joe told us what stance we have to use in shot puts. He told us a stance called side on. We had to look at the target where I had to shoot it and aim with my non-dominant hand.

Next I learnt how to grip the ball. I had to put the ball in my three middle fingers and put it under my ear and jaw.

Lastly, I learnt how to throw the ball. I had to push myself forward and throw the ball towards my target.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt how to fo a shot put. I did well on throwing the ball to my partner. I need to improve on catching the ball with my hands.

HPE-Long jump

I learnt the skills of long jumps.

First I learnt the first skill which is jumping off one foot.

Next I learnt how to land, we landed in a motorbike stance.

Lastly I tried practising swinging our arms up and over while we were jumping.

I enjoyed this task because I like doing long jumps. I did well on landing in the motorbike stance. I need to improve on making longer jumps.

HPE-Athletics

We learnt skills for athletics.

First we played a warm up game and  it was called shepherd and sheep. We used the skill that are running on heels and light running.

Next we played another game and it was tic tac toe but we used cones to mark the spots we can make it diagonal, straight and sidewards.

Lastly we did a relay race and coach Trey told us some different ways of running which are running on heels, light running, and sprinting on our toes.

I enjoyed this task because I liked doing the relay race. I need to imrpove on running on my heels. I did well on sprinting very fast.

 

HPE-badminton

We learnt some badminton skills during PE.

First we learnt how to hit the shuttlecock with the racquets. I had to hit the shuttlecock on the side that is the bottom of the shuttlecock and hit the shuttlecock with the racquets. Mrs White gave us a challenge by not moving our legs or feet. It was hard for us.

Next we practised hitting the shuttlecock with a partner. I was good at hitting the shuttlecock but I was not good at hitting it back. to my partner.

After that we played a game called the name game. We had three circles and the one in the middle had to call a name and hit the shuttlecock to the person that they called. The person that they called has to hit the ball to the person that is called

Lastly we played another game which was piggy in the middle. We used racquets to hit the ball to each other so the piggy didn’t catch the ball.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt some badminton skills. I did well on hitting the ball with the racquet. I need to improve hitting it back to my partner.

 

 

T-ball

I practised T-ball skills that we revised in term one.

First I played a warm up game and it was like cricket but I had to hit it with a T-ball bat. I had to hit the ball as far as I can and I have to run to the base and come back the home base whiche gives me a point.

Next coach Trey made two teams which are the feilders and the batters. The feilders have to get the ball and bring it back in the t. The batters have to hit the ball with the bat and try running around the bases.

Lastly I practised playing a game of the original T-ball with the three bases. The bases are the places where I can be safe if I hit it than I have to run to the base but if the person puts the ball on the T before I get to the base or I will get out.

I enjoyed this task because I like playing T-ball. I need to improve hitting the ball with the bat. I did well on catching the ball with my hands.
